The Internet Movie Database, IMDb and abbreviated that can be translated as "Database film on the Internet", is a database online in the cinema world, but also on television and secondarily video games. IMDb restores a lot of information about movies , the actors , the directors , the screenwriters and all persons and companies involved in developing a movie, a TV movie , a television series or a game video. Access to public information is free. A paid service, IMDbPro, provides access to additional information of interest to professionals. Created 17 October 1990 by Col Needham is a site visited by more than 57 million unique users each month, the 38th largest most visited sites in the world Description IMDb is owned by Amazon.com , but its enrichment and its update are open free of charge to anyone with an e- mail , access to Internet , regardless of nationality, in English only. The IMDb is the biggest collaborative database in the world, with in early 2009 , information on 1.4 million visual works and nearly 3 million people . In detail, the IMDb offers not only the film credits or filmographies of actors or technicians, but also the synopsis, biographies, reviews, information or budget for the soundtrack, trivia and bloopers, linkages with other films and alternate versions, technical information (duration, screen ratio, width of film, process color, etc..) release dates, etc..
