Biography

Sendhil was born to Indian parents, both doctors and originating from Tamil Nadu in India. He and his sister, also a doctor, grew up in San Antonio , in Texas where Sendhil is studying in the Keystone School where he graduated in 1991 and thereafter, he was also a graduate of Tufts University in 1996. In 1999 he married Olga Sosnovska , herself an actress with whom he had a daughter.

The desire to become an actor comes to him during his medical studies at Tufts University where he joined the fraternity Theta Delta Chi (). After playing a few plays, he joined the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art where he graduated in 1999 ^Career

Sendhil has appeared in several theatrical productions as Servant of Two Masters , Indian Ink or East Is East. On television, he appeared in several productions and television series including Casualty , Ultimate Force , Grey's Anatomy and Numb3rs.

He decided not to go audition for stereotypical Indian roles, although he had many offers. His current role in the drama Heroes is the greatest role he ever had, he plays Mohinder Suresh. More recently he appeared in television shows like The Tonight Show , presented by Jay Leno on January 25 2007.
